Description

When you need to verify a soldering joint,
inspect a BGA pad, or check whether a component footprint sits flush after
rework, your eyes alone are not enough — and a standard optical magnifier
doesn't give you a recorded reference. The Magnify HM020 changes that. This
handheld digital microscope puts 100X magnification, a live 2-inch IPS display,
and a 16MP camera in one compact unit that fits your hand and your repair bench
without taking over either.

The 2-inch IPS screen runs at a 178° wide
viewing angle, giving you a clear, full-color image of whatever the lens points
at — no squinting through an eyepiece, no awkward positioning. The display
updates in real time, so you see the magnified view the moment you position the
device. Manual focus lets you dial in the exact depth of field you need by
adjusting the distance between the lens and the target surface. The 4P + IR
lens structure with F4.5 aperture and 20° angle of view produces sharp,
detailed images across the 100X range.

Eight LED lights surround the lens in two
distinct groups. Four white LEDs handle standard illumination — use these for
PCB inspection, solder joint verification, component reading, and general
surface examination where true color accuracy matters. Four purple LEDs provide
an alternative light source suited to UV-reactive inspection tasks, including
checking for adhesive residue, liquid damage indicators, or surface coatings
that only reveal themselves under non-white light. Switch between modes with a single
button press to match the inspection task in front of you.

The 16MP camera captures still images at
multiple resolutions — 16M, 12M, 10M, 8M, 5M, 3M, and 2M — all in JPG format.
Video recording is also supported. Images store to a 32GB TF card (included
with compatible versions), giving you a physical inspection log without needing
a PC connection for every session. When you do connect via Type-C USB 2.0, the
HM020 registers as a camera device on Windows XP, 7, 8, 8.1, 10, and Mac OS X
10.5 or later — no driver installation needed for basic use. Compatible measurement
software lets you add dimensional analysis to your inspection workflow directly
on screen.

Battery life sits at 1.5 hours of
continuous use from the 3.7V 500mAh rechargeable cell, with a 1-hour full
charge time via Type-C. Auto-shutdown with configurable timing protects the
battery during idle periods on a busy bench. The ABS body keeps weight at 57g,
making single-handed use comfortable even during longer inspection sessions.
Operating temperature range covers -10°C to 55°C and humidity tolerance goes to
85% RH — both within normal workshop conditions across Pakistan's seasonal
climate range.

For mobile repair technicians, the HM020
fits naturally alongside microscopes, PCB holders, soldering stations, and hot
air stations as a portable verification tool. Use it to inspect reballing
results on BGA chips, confirm IC placement before reflowing, check jumper
lagana work under magnification, or document component condition before and
after repair for customer transparency. Repair shops handling chip-level
hardware fault diagnosis use digital magnifiers like this to catch micro-crack
solder joints and lifted pads that cause dead phone and charging issue
complaints that don't resolve with software marna alone.

At 57g and pocket-sized, the HM020 travels
between repair stations, to customer sites, and into training sessions without
needing a dedicated carry case. For any workshop that hasn't added a portable
digital magnifier to its inspection toolkit, the HM020 is the practical
starting point.

Can the Magnify HM020 be used to inspect BGA pads and solder joints after reballing or hot air rework?
Yes — the HM020 delivers 100X magnification with a live 2-inch IPS display, making it practical for post-rework inspection of BGA pads, solder joints, and IC placement. The white LED mode provides accurate color rendering for joint condition assessment, and the 16MP camera lets you capture images for documentation or comparison before and after rework.
Does the HM020 purple light mode help detect liquid damage or adhesive residue on mobile phone motherboards?
Yes — the four purple LEDs function as a UV-spectrum light source that can reveal liquid damage indicators, adhesive residue, and UV-reactive coatings on mobile phone motherboards and components that remain invisible under standard white light. This makes it a useful inspection tool for hardware fault triage before beginning PCB-level repair work.
